Looking a little less alien now :)
Laurie just had her second ultrasound today and we got some new pictures. It's looking a little more little a baby now. :) The sex of the baby is not yet 100% determined yet, but it's looking very much like a little girl at this point. We have another ultrasound scheduled for next week, so the gender determination might be a little clearer then. Either way though, I'm still a happy dad-to-be.
We got to see the heart beating, the kidneys are there, the stomach, spine...everything appears to be where it's supposed to, and nice and symmetrical. :) The heart beat is at about 155bpm and the baby is weighing in at a healthy 12 oz..

I've said it to you and I'll say it to the masses: these are the first ultrasound pictures that have ever actually looked like something to me. I'm not sure if it's because I'm smarter now, or because your baby looks especially baby-like. I'm guessing the second option.
I second the second option. ;-)
